福建省海峡两岸土木工程防震减灾工程研究中心成立于2008年“5.12”汶川特大地震之后，旨在以土木工程防震减灾技术的研发为核心，尤其是提高福建省抵御地震灾害能力。
工程研究中心经福建省发展与改革委员会批准成立，依托福州大学、并联合了福建省地震局和台湾土木地震界同仁的技术力量。
工程研究中心设在福州大学旗山校区土木工程学院结构试验馆内。福州大学土木工程学院设有土木工程系、水利水电工程系、交通运输工程系等3个系，土木工程、水利水电工程、
结排水工程、交通工程和工程管理等5个本科专业；具有土木工程一级学科博士点，8个二级学科硕士点。“结构工程”为国家重点学科（培育）；工程结构实验室是福建省高校重
点实验室，土木工程本科实验室是国家级教学示范中心。学院现有教职员工140名，其中教授22名。
Fujian Seismic and Disaster Research Center of Civil Engineering(SDRCCE) is founded in 2008 after the "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake.
The SDRCCE works for seismic and disaster mitigation of civil engineering.especially to improve seismic and disaster capacity of
Fujian province. The SDRCCE project is approved by Development and Reform Commission of Fujian Province, relying on Fuzhou University
and combining with colleagues of civil engineering in Taiwan and Fujian Seismological Bureau.
The SDRCCE is located in the structural laboratory of Civil Engineering College of Fuzhou University. There are 3departments, 5
undergraduate majors, 8 master's degree programmes, and Civil Engineering is the first-rank doctoral degree programme.Structural
engineering is national key subject. Structural engineering laboratory is key laboratory of Fujian university. Undergraduate
laboratory of civil engineering is national demonstration center for experimental teaching. College has 140 staff at present,
including 22 professors.
